Can We Go

FAQs Can We Go

Q. Are there any age restrictions for Can We Go club membership?

Any responsible adult can apply for CWG membership. There is no upper age limit and the curent minimum age is 18. However, if we find a demand for activities which are either more suitable, or should include younger age groups, we will seriously consider extending membership to match.

Q. Will you organise events anywhere in the UK?

As the CWG club is just newly launched, we have judged it prudent to fully maximise our resources by temporarily limiting our activities to a smaller geographical area to begin with. We have chosen our home ground for this, which is the North East of England, or more specifically within a radius of 50 miles of Newcastle upon Tyne.
We will, in the mean time, be making every effort to build up and expand the club membership throughout the whole of the UK. The speed and increase of membership will dictate the number of events we can host and how early.

But to fully answer the question, yes, we will organise events anywhere within the UK if enough members request them. However, there may be exceptions, depending on  the practicalities of some types of event and/or locations.

Q. Can I suggest an event?

Yes you certainly can, we encourage members to suggest social events, but we do reserve the right to refuse any event which we feel is impracticable or in some other way unsuitable. If you have any doubts about your suggestion, please contact us for confirmation prior to posting it

Q. When can I order tickets?

Ticket orders will be subject to the following:

When the recorded interest for a particular event reaches the predetermined minimum number required for that event to be organised, all interested parties will be notified and can then order tickets.

This will determine the true demand for that particular event.

From the moment that the required level of ticket orders has been reached  we will take immediate action to secure bookings for the event for between 2-8 weeks ahead and using as many of the original elements or as close alternatives as possible. (All the details of the booked event will be posted on the website)

Q. Can I recommend a particular band, entertainer or venue?

You can include a particular band, entertainer or venue if you are suggesting an event, you could also ask them to join as associated partners of the club or to contact us. We will be very happy to speak to them regarding their possible involvement and promotion through the Can We Go club

Q. Which events will have transport provided?

Transport is an extra cost and falls directly on those using it, so can only be considered if enough demand is indicated. Transport on most occasions will only be provided to and from localised central points. Due to costs, It will rarely, if ever extend directly from door to door.

Q. Can I book transport for an event?

Some events will have a transport tick box. If enough demand is indicated, then the extra costs will be published on the website. This cost will be separate to the ticket price

Q. Can I purchase tickets for my friends and or family?

Yes, you can purchase tickets through your own credit/debit card on behalf of guests. But each person attending must show a ticket to obtain admittance or in the case of a group arriving together, the tickets can be held by one person.

Q. Will I get my ticket cost refunded if an event is cancelled?

Yes. If an event has to be cancelled after tickets have been bought, your purchase price will be refunded in full

Q. If I can’t attend an event, will I get my ticket cost refunded?

No. Ticket prices are based on the number of tickets actually sold. Tickets are all sold at one price and at one time, therefore a full reimbursement for a ticket fee would alter the true cost of all tickets and since it would be impossible to alter the cost of tickets at that stage it will not be possible to refund anyone. Cancelling ordered tickets prior to a stated date will carry no fees, as the ticket prices have not yet been finalised and paid for.

You may be charged an admin fee for a late cancellation of ticket orders

Q. How will I know the final ticket purchase price? (Edit)

The orders for tickets at each event will be accepted within a set time frame, the purchase price of all available tickets will be calculated from the number ordered within that time. The price paid for tickets will be either, at the original preliminary price at worst or a mere fraction of that at best. It all depends on the number ordered.

Q. How does ticket ordering work? (Edit)

To order a ticket it must pre-authorised (pre-auth) through your bank. It means that although your bank does not pay that money at that time, it holds it to one side (free service) then at the pre-set date for ticket sales, your bank will release the payment at the purchase price current at that time. The price can be lower than the pre-auth price but cannot exceed it.

Q. What is meant by Preliminary price and Purchase price?

The Preliminary price: is the price each ticket would need to be, to cover the event costs if the minimum number of people were to attend. This is the price your ticket order is based on.

The Purchase price: At a pre-set time & date, ticket orders will be counted, the ticket price is determined by the number of orders at that point. All tickets are then sold at an equal price.

If the quantity of tickets ordered, remains at the minimum quantity when the time & date deadline arrives, the tickets will be sold at the preliminary price quoted. However, each additional ticket ordered above that number, will reduce the purchase price in equal measure. So by the time you actually pay for your ticket, it could have reduced in cost substantially
The purchased price of all tickets will be equal, regardless of when and at what price they were ordered.

Q. If I order tickets at the preliminary price, and they subsequently reduce in price, will I still have to pay the preliminary price?

No. All the ticket orders are counted on a given date. The price of tickets is determined by that number and all tickets are then sold at the one price.  Tickets are not sold until the ticket orders reach the required preliminary quantity. The ticket price is determined by the quantity ordered by the pre-arranged time & date. All tickets are then equally purchased at that final ticket price. (see previous Question)

Q. Can I claim a refund on my purchased ticket, if I cannot attend an event?

No. Unfortunately the price you paid for your ticket was determined by the number of tickets sold. If you were to receive a refund it would have to alter the purchase price of every ticket which would be impossible.

Q. Can I attend events if I am a wheelchair user?

Many of the venues we use will be chosen because they are local, we cannot guarantee that every venue will have wheelchair accessibility. However, priority booking will be given to those venues with wheelchair access wherever there is a choice. Please contact us to check before ordering your ticket.

Q. Do BizyBiz promotions charge an organising fee?

Yes. The preliminary ticket price will already include the organisers fee. The Can We Go social club is a commercial concern so just like any other business it has its business costs, but it is mindful that it must keep fees and expenses down to the absolute minimum in order to help make the club a success.

We make every effort to assess the full running costs of each event and in most cases the fee for each can be established at the outset. However there will obviously be times when unforeseen costs arise at a later date and except in those circumstances, the fee will remain static and any subsequent increase in tickets sales above the original minimum required number, will not effect that fee

Q. Can I buy advertising space on your website?

Yes, we have both advertising and sponsorship opportunities on the Can We Go website. Please contact us for details.

Q. How will I receive or collect my tickets?

You will receive your tickets via email

Q. Can I appeal if my membership is refused, revoked or suspended?

Membership is approved or otherwise on the sole discretion of the BizyBiz promotions management or their appointed representatives. All written appeals will be seriously considered

Q. How will I know if an event has been cancelled?

Immediately after becoming aware that an event must be cancelled, we will make every effort to contact all ticket holders, either via email or telephone to notify them of the situation.
